MUMBAI: Train services between Bhandup and Thane suburban stations on Central Railway mainline were disrupted briefly due to a suspected short-circuit at a power sub-station this afternoon.
"Smoke was seen emanating out of Mulund sub-station at around 1300 hrs due to which we had to switch off the power supply in the section, resulting in stalling of trains," a Central Railway spokesperson said.
Authorities are looking into the cause of smoke even as they suspect that it could be due to a short-circuit, he said.
Train services were restored at around 1320 hrs, he added.
