Suspended policemen protest; demand reinduction

LUCKNOW: Scores of suspended policemen and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) recruits demonstrated and blocked traffic outside the PAC headquarters here on Monday in protest against their suspension.

the protestors, suspended for alleged irregularities, demanded reinduction,police sources said.

Security has been beefed up and senior officials reached the spot, they said.

The BSP government has so far annulled the recruitment of about 18 thousand police and PAC recruits and suspended 25 senior IPS officers charging them with committing irregularities in their recruitment.
