Mahindra launches lifestyle SUV Scorpio Getaway

BANGALORE: Mahindra and Mahindra, leader in utility vehicle segment, launched its lifestyle SUV Scorpio Getaway here on Thursday.
   
The Getaway,a new lifestyle product is based on the Scorpio platform and sports a grand deck that can cary various equipment and gear as per an individual's lifestyle needs.
  
"Scorpio Getaway is a lifestyle offshoot of the Scorpio, which while retaining its stamped ruggedness, comfort and class, is also designed to provide superlative luxury and style", said Vivek Nayer, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Automotive Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra.
   
The Getaway is aimed at the growing breed of the affluent young with a love for outdoors, adventure and sports." This lifestyle SUV is ideal for Bangalore as we consider the city to be an effervescent lifestyle hub", he said.

The features of the Getaway include a contemporary look with all controls deisgned with ease of access and operation in mind.For security purposes, the Getaway is fitted with an alarm, immobiliser and offers keyless entry.
   
The Getaway is powered by 2600 cc common rail diesel engine, designed in collaboration with AVL, Austria, global leaders in engine design. It delivers 115 bhp at 3800 rpm and 28.3Kgm torque at 1800 rpm.
   
The Getaway is available in four colours. The Scorpio Gateway 2WD and 4WD `double cap' are priced at Rs 713,356 and Rs 818,080 respectively, (ex-showroom Bangalore).
