BJP optimistic on transfer of power in Karnataka

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Thursday maintained that there would be a definite transfer of power in Karnataka though 'irritants' needed to be sorted out.
   
"Yes, there would be a definite transfer of power. There is no doubt about it," senior party leader Venkiah Naidu told here on thursday.

He said there were some irritants in the relationship and they needed to be sorted out.

"It is a solemn assurance given before the people and BJP has complied its part and I am sure JD(S) also will do. Some of these irritants which has come will be addressed," Naidu said.
   
"The party in the state is busy with the (municipal) elections. Our party president have discussed the matter today with the concerned leaders and further talks will be held only after the elections are over," he added.
   
The municipal elections in Karnataka in being fought separately by JD(S) and BJP.

Naidu also ruled out any chances of an immediate election in the state saying, "there is no question of any election in the state, the coalition is on and it will continue in the future too."
