HP govt offers free week long holiday to Team India

The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday extended a week-long free holiday trip invitation to the Indian cricket team for winning the inaugral Twenty20 World Cup.

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday extended a week-long free holiday trip invitation to the Indian cricket team for winning the inaugral Twenty20 World Cup.

Congratulating Mahendra Singh Dhoni's side, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh invited the team and management to be guests of the state and stay in any hotel of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) of their choice for a week.
   
"The state government will be happy to welcome the team and management to the state and availing hospitality," the CM said in his congratulatory message sent to the BCCI President Sharad Pawar, an official release said.

"The famous hotel Chail Palace, an unit of HPTDC, about 45 km from Shimla, or any other resort of the corporation would be pleased to have the winning team as its honourable guests."
