CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for international cricketer Joginder Sharma, who took two wickets in the Twenty-20 World Cup semifinal against Australia at Durban on Saturday night.

Hooda congratulated the entire Indian cricket team for entering the final and wished them good luck.

The Chief Minister had announced that any cricketer hailing from Haryana would be given an amount of Rs 25,000 for taking a wicket and Rs one lakh for making a century in any international cricket match.
  
Meanwhile, the Haryana Police has also congratulated Sharma -- its newly appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) -- for his excellent bowling in the semi-final match.
