NEW DELHI: BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla shot back at former Australian bowlers Ray Bright and Rodney Hogg for calling the Indian batsmen a 'scared lot', saying they should mend their 'ways'.

"Such sort of comments are not in good taste. Our players are capable of answering back (by their performance) to any one. They should behave themselves," Shukla told.

Hogg while criticising Sourav Ganguly's inclusion in the Indian team during a programme on Neo Sports, had said the ex-captain has been brought back only because of 'political' clout.

Dismissing this charge Shukla said "Ganguly was in team only because of his performance."

Former stumper and chief selector Kiran More also criticised the Aussies for their comments.

"We should reply to these cricketers by winning the matches," he said.
