NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is convalescing at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after a prostate surgery, will be discharged on Tuesday.
According to Chairman of Medical Expert Panel for the Prime Minister, Professor K Srinath Reddy, the Prime Minister "is doing well," PM's Media Adviser Sanjaya Baru said in a statement.
After completing post surgical tests, the Prime Minister will be discharged from AIIMS tomorrow, he said.
Singh, 75, was admitted to AIIMS on Saturday for the surgery. The surgery -- a trans-urethral resection of the prostate gland -- was performed to treat "benign prostatic hypertrophy of the prostate" or benign enlargement of the gland.
