NAWADA: In a fit of anger over not not being served delicious food, a man axed to death his father and aunt in Bihar's Nawada district, police said on Tuesday.

The accused, Monitor Singh, who had returned to his home at Manwa village only yesterday after being enlarged on bail in an electric wire  theft case, demanded something good to eat.

When his aunt, his father's sister Kaushalya Devi, served him 'sattu' (powdered gram), he flew into rage and slaughtered her with an axe late last night. His father Lakhan Singh met with the same fate when he tried to save his sister, officer in-charge of Hisua police station Satyendra Manjhi said.

Monitor Singh later dragged the body of Kaushalya to a railway track near their house.

The man has been arrested, Manjhi said.
