SOUTHAMPTON: England bowler Ryan Sidebottom has been ruled out of Tuesday's NatWest Series one-day cricket opener against India as he is still recuperating from the side strain injury sustained during the recent Tests.
Sidebottom did not join the England ODI squad here on Sunday to continue to receive treatment at the ECB National Cricket Performance Centre, where he is undergoing rehabilitation treatment since suffering the injury during the third and final Test against at the Oval.
Further assessment will be made following the first match at the Rose Bowl to determine when Sidebottom will be available to join the England squad.
