Singh is our opponent and not an enemy: BJP

BELGAUM: BJP on Sunday termed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's reported statement that some Opposition leaders performed "havans" for his death, as "rubbish".
    
"Singh is our opponent and not an enemy and we wish him long life", senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj told reporters here.
    
In an interview to a leading magazine Singh had reportedly stated about "havans" having been conducted, seeking his death.
    
To another query, Swaraj, who lost to Congress President Sonia Gandhi 2004 general elections from Bellary Lok Sabha constituency, said she would contest the coming Lok Sabha polls from Karnataka.
    
However, she did not name the constituency from which she wished to contest.
