Youth gets lifer for rape-cum-murder

 MUZAFFARNAGAR: A local court on Thursday sentenced a youth to life imprisonment for rape and murder of a four-year-old girl.
    
Additional district & sessions judge CK  Kulshrestra also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Sunderlal (26) under Sections 376 and 302 of IPC.
    
According to the prosecution, Radha, daughter of one Onkar Taygi, was raped and later strangulated to death by Sunderlal at Barkazi village in the district on May 23, 2004.
    
On the direction of district magistrate, the buried body of the victim was dug out and sent for post-mortem, in which rape and murder were confirmed.
