Three Indians held for drug trafficking in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Three Indians allegedly involved in selling narcotic drugs have been arrested in the Nepalese capital.

On a tip off that the trio was waiting for buyers, the Narcotics Drugs Control Unit of the police arrested Mohammad Shamsad and Mohammad Gulfan, who hail from Muzaffurpur, and Sunil Kumar Kusawaha of Motihari, on Sunday.

Police also seized 240 grams of brown sugar from them.

A case has been registered at the Kathmandu District Court and they have been put in judicial remand at the Hanumandhoka police station for further investigation, the police said.

If found guilty, they will have to face 15-20 years imprisonment under the Drugs Trafficking law of Nepal.
