Hindustan Unilever registers profit of Rs 493 cr

MUMBAI: Hindustan Unilever on Sunday reported a net profit of Rs 493.08 crore for the quarter-ended June against Rs 380.59 crore in the same period last year.

Its net sales for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 3,481.40 crore against Rs 3,083.23 crore last year.

The company's board has agreed to pay an interim dividend of Rs three per share of Re 1 each.

The board has agreed to buy back the company's equity shares at a price not exceeding Rs 230 per share up to an aggregate amount of Rs 630 crore, it said in a statement.
