One more collapse, this time a balcony

MUMBAI: The first floor balcony of a three-storey building, 'Pragati Coperative housing society' caved in on Saturday at Malad in North Mumbai, police said.

The balcony collapsed on Saturday afternoon. The building in the Malad east locality was evacuated immediately after the mishap. However, no one was injured.

The residents of the building were shifted to other places.

Repair work of the building was underway and will be completed soon. Thereafter, the residents will return to their flats, Municipal authorities said.
