Pratibha Patil to visit Kashmir tomorrow

NEW DELHI: UPA's Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil will be visiting Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday as part of her nationwide campaign to elicit support for the forthcoming polls on July 19.

Patil would be received by Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and AICC's election officer Ashwani Sikri at the airport after which she would be meeting Congress legislatures and other leaders.

She would later meet Congress' alliance partner PDP and also hold separate parleys with its patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and his daughter Mehbooba Mufti.

However, there was no immediate information whether she would also be meeting Omar Abdullah, president of National Conference, the single largest party in the 87-member Assembly.
