Top police officers avert transfer

Home dept comes up with a revised list of 18, including Raghuvanshi

As many as 12 IPS and State Police Service officials  — of 58 officers who were transferred a month ago —  have averted the transfer orders to get more convenient postings. The Home Department has issued a revised list with 18 names, including that of ATS chief KP Raghuvanshi.

Manoj Lohia, DCP, Zone III in Mumbai was transferred as Gondia SP as per the earlier orders. He has succeeded in getting more favoured position as Parbhani SP. Thane city DCP RD Shinde, who was earlier transferred as Parbhani SP, will now be taking over as Navi Mumbai DCP. Thane Civil Rights Protection DCP Sahebrao Patil is new DCP, Mumbai, cancelling his earlier posting order as Navi Mumbai DCP. Gondia SP Chhering Dorje will now go to Chandrapur SP instead of going to Amravati as DCP.

Beed SP Santosh Rastogi, a 98 batch IPS officer, has succeeded in throwing his political weight in cancelling his transfer as Chandrapur SP, a least preferred destination. He is now Thane DCP.

Pune DCP AD Shinde will now take over as Comandant, SRPF, Group 8, Mumbai. He was transferred as Nandurbar SP. Similarly, Nandurbar SP Pradeep Raskar did not accept his transfer as Pune Railways SP. He has now been made Commandant, SRPF Group 2, Pune.

Usmanabad SP RS Dighavkar has now been transferred to Solapur City cancelling his earlier order as Amravati DCP. Nagpur SP Asvati Dorje will take over as Nagpur city DCP instead of Amravati Crime Branch SP.
