LONDON: Heavy rain brought action on the fifth day of Wimbledon to a halt on Friday.   

When the downpours drove the players back to the locker room at 1055GMT, women's top seed Justine Henin was leading Russia's Elena Vesnina 6-1, 3-2.   

Later on Friday, four-time men's champion Roger Federer was due to face former world number one Marat Safin in his third round match.
