The Bombay High Court on Thursday directed the state government to produce documents of reimbursements taken by four MLAs, including chairman of Maharashtra State Co-op Cotton Grower’s Marketing Federation, Dr N P Hirani and former irrigation minister Dr Padmasinh Patil, towards medical treatment of their relatives.

In response to a PIL filed by Janhit Manch, a division bench of Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar and SC Dharmadhikari pointed out the names of four MLAs from a list submitted by the petitioners and asked Advocate General Ravi Kadam to produce files with respect to payments made to them. The court also asked the petitioner to put forth irregularities regarding payments based on bogus bills made to specific members of Legislative Assembly or Council.
