LONDON: Four-time champion Roger Federer seeks a quick kill when he resumes his Wimbledon second round match against Argentinian teenager Juan Martin del Potro on Thursday.   

The world number one was 6-2, 7-5, 2-0 ahead when a rain deluge sent the players scurrying off Court One on Wednesday.   

Britain's Tim Henman resumes his second round match at 1-1 against Spain's Feliciano Lopez to open Centre Court action with 2004 women's champion Maria Sharapova to follow against France's Severine Bremond.   

French Open champion Rafael Nadal is also in action against Werner Eschauer of Austria.   

Triple women's champion Venus Williams takes on the Czech Republic's Hana Sromova with former world number one and 2002 men's winner Lleyton Hewitt playing Simone Bolelli of Italy.
