Mosque authorities have a list of places promoting immoral activities

ISLAMABAD: Encouraged by the reluctance of the Musharraf administration to proceed against the infamous Lal Masjid located in Islamabad, the extremist students of the mosque being run by two fanatic brothers, are contemplating to attack more massage parlours and dance clubs operating in the posh areas of the federal capital.

According to secret reports submitted with the ministry of interior by Pakistani intelligence agencies, the Lal Masjid authorities have prepared a list of brothels, dance clubs and massage centres operating inside five star hotels and restaurants in Islamabad.

Lal Masjid administrator, Maulana Abdul Rashid Ghazi confirmed the information saying, “Yes, we have spotted several other massage centres being run by men and women jointly and have gathered all information about them.

“In fact, most of the massage parlours are brothels which are operating for years without being checked. We have already warned the owners he said, adding that the Lal Masjid administration would proceed against them to stop their immoral activities.

“They are spoiling the future of youth. We are committed to stop such type of illegal and immoral activities,” he explained. Students of Jamia Hasfa, the seminary affiliated with Lal Masjid, raided a Chinese massage parlour and abducted nine Chinese nationals, including six women.

The Lal Masjid administration said that the women were involved in prostitution. They were brought to the mosque to teach them not to indulge in ‘immoral activities’. They were released after assuring to end such activities.
