Maharashtra to set up child rights commission

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Cabinet in Thursday approved setting up of a child rights commission in the state.

The commission, being set up as per Centre's guidelines, would review provisions under various laws for protection of rights of children and implement them effectively, an official release said here.

The Cabinet approved an annual expenditure of Rs 95 lakh for the panel.
