Mayawati signs Patil's nomination papers

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati on Wednesday signed the nomination papers of the UPA presidential candidate Pratibha Patil as the third proposer.

According to official sources here, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi today called on the chief minister with nomination papers of Patil.

According to a senior official, Mayawati signed the nomination papers as the third proposer after AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
