NEW DELHI: Four more Presidential aspirants on Tuesday filed their nomination papers taking the total number of candidates to seven since the process began on Saturday.

Of the four candidates who filed their documents on Tuesday, three are from Uttar Pradesh -- Narendra Nath Dubey Adig from Varanasi, Ram Kumar Shukla from Lucknow and Vijay Narain, an academician from Kanpur.

The nomination paper for the fourth candidate -- Har Prakash from Delhi -- was not accepted as it did not have the certified copy of the electoral role showing that he is a voter, the office of the returning officer said.

While two nomination papers had been filed on Monday, one was filed on June 16.

Filing of nomination began on June 16 and will close on June 30. The scrutiny will take place on July two while July four is the last date for withdrawal.

The polling is slated for July 19 and the counting will be on July 21.
