Trains diverted following Rajasthan incidents

NEW DELHI: In the wake of the agitation by the Gurjar community in Rajasthan, several trains of North Western Railway were redirected on Tuesday.

Nearly a dozen trains were diverted that include the 4853 Varanasi-Jodhpur Marudhar Express, which will be running via Agra Fort, Sawai Madhopur, and 2413 Jaipur-Jammu Tawi Pooja Express and 2016 Ajmer-New Delhi Shatabdi Express which will run via Sawai Madhopur, Mathura and Palwal, the Northern Railway said in a release here.

Besides, 4321 Bareily-New Bhuj Ala Hazrat Express, 2916 Delhi-Ahmedabad Ashram Express and 9270 Motibari-Porbundar Express have been diverted to run via Atwar, Mathura and Sawai Madhopur.

Meanwhile, 9771 Jaipur Amritsar Express has been diverted to run via Phulera, Merta Road and Banbiqui-Bathinda, 4864 Jodhpur-Varanasi Marudhar Express will ply via Agra Fort, Sawai Madhopur, Bayana, and 2461 Delhi-Jodhpur Mandor Express and 9106 Haridwar-Ahmedabad mail trains have been diverted to run via Palwal instead of Rewari.
