One in four US Muslims support suicide bombings

WASHINGTON: According to a new poll, one in four younger US Muslims feel suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances.

The survey was carried out by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.

According to an AP report, while nearly 80 per cent of US Muslims say suicide bombings of civilians to defend Islam cannot be justified, 13 per cent say they can be, at least rarely.
