Pramod Mahajan murder case trial adjourned

MUMBAI: A local court on Tuesday adjourned the trial proceedings till Wednesday in the murder case of BJP leader Pramod Mahajan.

As soon as court assembled for the proceedings on Tuesday, Special Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam moved an application seeking an adjournment till Wednesday afternoon as he is busy in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

Additional Session Court Judge SP Davare, who is presiding over the trial into the Pramod Mahajan murder case, granted permission and adjourned the matter till Wednesday.

It may be recalled that on April 22, last year, Pramod Mahajan was shot allegedly by his younger brother, Pravin. Pramod Mahajan had succumbed to his injuries 13 days later.
