Servant arrested in Gurgaon triple murder case

GURGAON: The servant of a family of three, killed in their house in an upscale locality here, was arrested from Bihar on Sunday in connection with the triple murder, a senior official said.

Lallan, who was missing since the murders at Sector 23A two days ago, has confessed before the police that he has killed the three members of Chahal family, Senior Superintendent of Police Hanif Qureshi claimed.

He will be produced before a court in Bihar tomorrow before being brought to Gurgaon, the SSP said.

Vinod Chahal (38), his wife Saroj (33) and their son Tanu (7), were found murdered in their house yesterday morning.

While the couple was hit with baseball bats and stone slabs, the child, a class II student, was strangled and stuffed inside a cupboard.

Lallan was arrested from Sheohar district of Bihar, official sources said in Patna.

A police team from Haryana assisted by the district armed police raided Chawanpur village in Sheohar and arrested him, they said.
