GUWAHATI: Three Hindi-speaking persons were gunned down in a fresh attack by the ULFA in Golaghat district on Wednesday evening, a day after the killing of six in Dibrugarh and Sibsagar on Tuesday night.

Two militants on a motor-cycle shot dead two persons at a grocery shop at Diksoi Tinaili in Dergaon while another person was killed at Ghiladhari under Merapani police station of the district between 7:00 pm and 7.15 pm, police said.

Those killed at Diksoi Tinaili were identified as Tankeswar Sahu, a grocer, and one Dipak Agarwal. The other victim at Ghiladari, identified as Srinath Agarwala, was also a grocer, the sources said.

The ULFA had shot dead 60 Hindi-speaking people and injured over 100 in early January in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sibsagar districts.
