NEW DELHI: CM-in-waiting Mayawati on Friday condemned "destruction" of official records in UP Minister Azam Khan's office and said she would be ordering a high level probe after assuming the office of Chief Minister.

"I condemn the destruction of official record in the office of Azam Khan. I will order a high level probe in the matter as soon as my government is formed", she said.

She was interacting with media after results were declared for the seven phase assembly polls in which her party got majority to form the next government on its own, first time after 14 year for a single party.

Mayawati said though she was yet to take the charge of Chief Minister, but has directed the DGP to visit the site (office) and initiate necessary action on the development.

"I can think over what can be done but only after assuming the power", she said in reply to a question on the development and what steps she was contemplating on it.
