Niece of tranporter kidnapped in Bihar

MUZAFFARPUR: A local transporter has filed an FIR with police here that his niece, missing since May four, has been kidnapped.

Arjun Singh alleged in his FIR against five persons of Kamalpura village that the alleged abductors of his niece Nishi alias Gudiya had called him last night and demanded a ransom of Rs1 crore for her release.

Nishi had had gone missing since May four from Bhagawanpur locality, he said.

Confirming the incident, Deputy Inspector General Of Police (Tirhut range) Gupteshwar Pandey said that Singh, a big transporter of the area, filed an FIR at the Sadar police station on Thursday night about his niece being kidnapped after he received a ransom call.

Singh, in his FIR, named Renu Shanker, Keshav Sharma, Sunder Sharma, Prashant alias Dabloo and Renu Shanker, all residents of Kamalpura village, Pandey said.

Police were doing their best to trace Nishi, the daughter of MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh, he said.
