Govt to help kin of victims of crashed Keynan aircraft

Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel on Sunday said the government will extend all help to the relatives of the victims of a Kenyan Airlines flight that crashed with 15 Indians on board.

SURAT: Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel on Sunday said the government will extend all help to the relatives of the victims of a Kenyan Airlines flight that crashed with 15 Indians on board.

"We have not received any official list of Indian nationals present in the crashed plane," Patel, who was here to inaugurate Surat airport, said.

"But we will extend all help to relatives of the Indian nationals who might have been killed in the accident. Our embassy in Kenya has been told to extend assistance to the relatives," the Minister added.

There were 15 Indians in the Nairobi-bound aircraft carrying 114 people on board when it crashed.
