MUMBAI/AHMEDABAD: Hours before the central nod for admissions in IIMs, IITs and other central educational institutions, authorities at IIT-Bombay said they were prepared for every eventuality.
“We are prepared to conduct the admission process by implementing the OBC quota vis-à-vis without reserving the seats as per last year’s capacity,” said Aruna Thosar Dixit, PRO of IIT-Bombay.
“As the IIT-JEE results are scheduled next month, we have sufficient time to prepare for the admission process,” Thosar signed off.
Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, has indicated that it will release the admissions list within 24 hours of receiving an official communication from the Centre.
“The admission process has been delayed, but the situation is not out of control,” a spokesman for the institute said.
“However, students will get less time to decide on accepting the offer. If lists are released in the next two days, we will be start with the three-week preparatory programme as per schedule in May.”
