KARACHI: Pakistan’s much maligned foreign coach, Bob Woolmer has still not decided on his future with his team after his contract expires in late June.

“I am not thinking about that now. I am just looking at the World Cup,” Woolmer said on Tuesday.

The former England player now settled in South Africa, met with the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Dr Naseem Ashraf in Lahore on Monday but no details were given out of what transpired in the meeting.

Sources said that Woolmer had asked Ashraf to outline what the Pakistan board had in mind for him after his contract expired. Woolmer said he would not like comment on his discussions with Ashraf but insisted he had not thought about his association with Pakistan  after the World Cup.

“Ashraf told him that the board had not discussed this as yet and would do so at an ad-hoc committee meeting on March 24,” one source said. That meeting will come at a time when Pakistan’s initial matches would have taken place in the World Cup.

However, sources close to the chairman disclosed that minds have been made up to appoint a new coach and captain and get rid of some players after the World Cup as even the board remained skeptical about the team's chances in the mega event.  Team insiders say Woolmer and Inzamam have had a frosty relationship since the Oval Test incident.
