Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray will undertake a campaign tour for the zilla Parishad elections from March 1. The tour of 27 zilla parishads, include Konkan, Marathwada, Western Maharashtra and Vidarbha. The zilla parishad and panchayat samiti elections will be held on March 11.

Talking to mediapersons, party spokesperson Nilam Gorhe said a victory rally would be organised in the city after March 11 to celebrate its win in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. It is learnt that Sena chief Bal Thackeray will also attend the victory rally in Mumbai.

At his campaign meeting at Shivaji Park, Thackeray promised Sainiks that he would address them once again.

Gorhe said senior leader Manohar Joshi was working on the party’s manifesto for the elections and it would be released soon.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Datta Dalvi feted new Sena-BJP corporators at Mayor’s bungalow at Shivaji Park.
