Meanwhile, two school going teenagers were abducted and murdered by kidnappers in Delhi. The abductors made the first ransom call almost 12-hours after they had killed the children.

Police said that Chetan, 14 and Sahil, 13, had gone missing on Monday morning. They said that when the children did not return home after their school finished, the family members informed the cops. The boys were studying in Sarvodaya senior secondary model school.Officials said that the children were living with the uncle, Vikas Goel, after their parents died a few years ago. They said that Goel is a small time businessman and runs a shop in Bhajanpura area in north-east Delhi.

Officials said that they have arrested Monu, who was known to the family very well, and his other three accomplices, Mohammed Nadeem, Shakeel and Vinod. “These men were waiting for the two boys outside their school. When the boys came out after school, the men offered them a lift. Since they knew Monu, the two boys readily agreed,” said Rupindra Singh, additional deputy commissioner of police.

Singh said the men took the boys to a jungle outside the Capital and hacked them to death. “After that they made ransom calls to the family and demanded Rs 5 lakh,” he said.  “We managed to trace these calls that were made from a public call booth,” Singh added.
