Rupesh Roy in Australian Open boys' doubles final

MELBOURNE: India's Rupesh Roy continued his dream run by storming into the finals of the boys' doubles at the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis.

Roy, who is partnering local boy Stephen Donald, moved into the title round with a 6-3 6-4 win over the Korean team of Soong-Jae Cho and Yong-Kyo Lim in the semi-final which lasted an hour and five minutes.

The eighth seeded Indo-Australian pair converted on four out of the seven break points while the Koreans were successful only on two of the six opportunities they got.

In the final, Roy and Donald will face Britain's Graeme Dyce and Harri Heliovaara of Finland, who thrashed the American combination of Mateusz Kecki and Austin Krajicek 6-0 6-2 in 50 minutes.

The victors won 92 per cent of points on their first serve and broke serve on five of the six chances they got. The Americans squandered their two break points.
