Sania-Medina move into third round at Oz open

MELBOURNE: Sania Mirza and Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain claimed an easy straight-set victory over Ekaterina Bychkova of Russia and Martina Muller of Germany to move into the women's doubles third round at the Austrailan Open on Friday.

The Indo-Spanish pair, seeded 10th, beat Bychkova-Muller 6-3, 6-4 in a near one and a half hour match.

The duo will take on sixth seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Ai Sugiyama of Japan, who defeated  Michaella Krajicek of Netherlands and Agnes Szavay of Hungry 6-3 6-2, in the next round.
