Raj Thackeray calls on Munde

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday visited Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gopinath Munde, who was injured in a car accident on December 30, at the latter's residence, party sources said here.

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray on Saturday visited Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gopinath Munde, who was injured in a car accident on December 30, at the latter's residence, party sources said here.

"Raj met Munde at his residence and was there for quite a sometimes. It was merely a courtesy visit. Raj wanted to inquire about Munde's health since he met with an accident and suffered fractures," the sources said.

Raj broke away from the Shiv Sena last year to form the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which is contesting all the seats in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, while the BJP has formed an alliance with the Shiv Sena.
