CAB respects BCCI's stand on Dalmiya

CAB secretary, Sardindu Pal that Dalmiya no longer functions as its president and an emergency meeting has been convened on the 27th January to take steps to implement the BCCI's decision.

MUMBAI: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has decided to respect the Cricket Board's stand on its president Jagmohan Dalmiya who has been expelled for alleged misappropriation of 1996 World Cup funds.

"The Cricket Association of Bengal's secretary, Sardindu Pal told the board's working committee on Saturday that the CAB respects the board's decision (taken at Jaipur on December 16) by 29 votes in favour to expel Mr Dalmiya," BCCI treasurer N Srinivasan said.

"He also said that Dalmiya no longer functions as its president and an emergency meeting has been convened on the 27th January to take steps to implement the BCCI's decision," Srinivasan said.
