Snapped electric wires disrupt rail traffic on harbour line

Traffic on Central Railway's Harbour Line here was disrupted on Thursday after an overhead electric wire snapped between Wadala and Sewri stations, Railway Police officials said.

MUMBAI: Traffic on Central Railway's Harbour Line here was disrupted on Thursday after an overhead electric wire snapped between Wadala and Sewri stations, Railway Police officials said.

The wire snapped at 21:05 hours, throwing peak hour traffic out of gear.

Repairs were in progress on the line, which connects south Mumbai's Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus with Panvel in Raigad district and passes through the satellite town of Navi Mumbai.
