GURGAON: Star cricketer Yuvraj Singh was on Wednesday accused of beating up one of his guests during a scuffle at his birthday party here but the complaint was withdrawn after a "compromise" was reached with the other side.

Yuvraj, who missed India's tour of South Africa due to a knee injury, allegedly got involved in a fight with one Siddharth Mahajan during the birthday bash at his posh DLF City residence on Tuesday night.

Siddharth's mother Neelam Mahajan alleged that Yuvraj and his friends beat up his son and sought to lodge an FIR.

However, she withdrew her complaint against Yuvraj after police intervened and brokered a compromise, police said.

Police did not reveal the terms upon which the compromise was reached between the feuding parties.

It is believed action would now be taken against Ranjit Bajaj, a Chandigarh resident, in connection with the incident.

Yuvraj's mother Shabnam said Siddharth had come to the party at the invitation of their common friend Sukhwinder.

But Siddharth, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, reportedly started abusing the guests and the Indian cricket team, resulting in the fracas. Siddharth also charged Yuvraj of harassing his girlfriend.

Siddharth called up his mother Neelam, who alleged that she reached the spot to find her son had been beaten up by Yuvraj, his younger brother and friends.

Neelam also alleged the cricketer had manhandled her during the scuffle and approached the police.
