Four members of Chhota Shakeel gang arrested

LUCKNOW: Four members of Chhota Shakeel gang were arrested by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police from the city on Sunday, STF officials said.

Acting on a tip-off, STF personnel arrested Mahtab Alam alias Munna, Farjand Ali alias Baba, Alim Khan alias Karan Singh and Liyakatullah alias Mirza from Kaiserbagh area, they said.

Four mobile phones, a country-made revolver and some diaries were recovered from their possession; Additional Superintendent of Police (STF) Rajesh Pandey said adding all of them were active members of Chhota Shakeel gang and had visited Pakistan several times.

Investigations are on to find out the whereabouts of others members of the gang, he said.
