Naseeruddin's son undergoes surgery

MUMBAI: Actor Naseeruddin Shah's son Imad, who was injured after he fell from from a local train, is recovering, hospital sources said on Saturday.

Imad (20), currently undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hopital in the city, was operated upon successfully for his right forearm and thigh bone (femur) fractures, sources said.

His thigh bone was operated upon particularly to prevent `fat embolism', they added.

Respiratory tubes were inserted in his wind pipes and lungs as he had `collapsed lungs condition' when he was brought in, they said, adding Tubes in the windpipe have been taken off now,  they said.

Imad was found on the tracks near Lower Parel station on November 23.
