NEW DELHI: The United Progressive Alliance-Left Co-ordination Committee on Monday night failed to arrive at a decision on the issue of reduction in prices of petroleum products, the controversial pension bill and special economic zones issue.

The only agreement that was reached in the three-hour meeting, which came a week before the Winter Session of Parliament, was on introduction of the long-pending Women's Reservation Bill.

While the meeting attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Left leaders debated for two hours on the Pension Bill, there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

"Most of the time was taken by the Pension Bill but there was no decision," Communist Party of India leader AB Bardhan told reporters after the meeting.
