Indore man to sing non-stop for 101 hours

The existing record of 54-hours mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records is being held a by German.

COIMBATORE: A 28-year-old man, hailing from Indore, in a bid to break the existing record in the Guinness Book, has decided to sing for a minimum of 101 hours and maximum of 125 hours, beginning from November 15.

The existing record of 54-hours mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records is being held a by German. Already, a girl, Akanksha of Indore, has sung for 61-hours and her feat is recorded in the Limca Book of Records.

"Being a yoga expert and knowing Pranayam, it would be easy for me to keep check and control over my lungs and voice. I have already sung non-stop for 18 hours," Deep Gupta from Indore, a music arranger said.

Gupta is a close associate of the 14-year old Baby Palak Muchhal, who shot to fame with her music performance to raise funds for heart ailments for patients below 18-years recently.

According to the Guinness rules, one could take a break for 10 minutes after singing for one hour, Gupta said, adding that a representative from Guinness would be visiting the venue, to verify the claims.

The entire performance, with 1,000 songs, accompanied by live music, would be video-recorded and handed over to Guinnes Book and also Limca Book of Records, he added.
