PUNE: Though Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt did not want their photographs to be taken during their visit to Bharatiya Samaj Seva Kendra (BSSK), they have left behind memories at the city's leading child welfare and adoption centre.

Jolie and Pitt, in Pune for the shooting of A Mighty Heart, accompanied by few others, visited the BSSK at Koregaon Park on Friday afternoon and spent an hour at the adoption centre.

"They brought toys including balls, walkers etc. for the children with whom they played," BSSK's Executive Director Roxana Kalayanval said.

"The couple requested us not to take any photographs of theirs," Roxana, who had set up the adoption centre 27 years ago, said.

"Once they familiarised themselves with the children, they had a wonderful time by showering love and gifts on them," the BSSK Executive Director said, adding that the Hollywood couple stated they would love to visit again.

Asked if they had talked about their plan to adopt any baby from BSSK, which currently has 65 children from babies to the age of six years under its care, Roxana said: "We have seen reports about their plan to adopt an Indian baby ... However, during their visit to our centre; they did not broach the subject."

Before leaving, Angelina and Pitt went through the annual reports of the BSSK, took along brochures and other reference material of the centre and praised it for "doing wonderful work", Roxana said.

Jolie and Pitt, who arrived in Pune on October 5 for the shooting a part of the film, have three children -- Maddox and Zahara (both adopted) and their biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

The film, which is on slain American journalist Daniel Pearl, is being co-produced by Pitt. Jolie is playing the role of Marianne, the wife of Pearl, in the film.
