NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday arrested former naval Commander J S Kalra for allegedly leaking secret information that could be detrimental to national security, official sources said.

Kalra, currently the deputy general manager (customer relations) of state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, was picked up from his office at Scope Complex this morning.

The CBI also conducted searches at his office and his residence in Noida, the sources said.

The name of Kalra, who sought voluntary retirement from the navy last year, had cropped up during the questioning of naval Captain Salam Singh Rathore, who was arrested last week by the CBI for the leak of sensitive information from the war room or the Directorate of Naval Operations, the sources said.
