NEW DELHI: Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar denied he had slapped coach Bob Woolmer or misbehaved with anyone during his stay in India for the Champions Trophy.

"No such incident took place... I am surprised how you can say such things without proof," the fast bowler said, reacting to charges by Colonel Anil Kaul, liaison officer for Pakistan during the tournament.

Kaul has alleged Shoaib slapped Woolmer in the team bus in Jaipur and misbehaved with India coach Greg Chappell's wife in the team hotel.

Shoaib said he had been to India several times and had always been well-behaved.

"I have been to India several times. I have stayed in India, played with India. I have always been well behaved. No such incident took place ever," he told NDTV.
