Apollo doctors are chargesheeted in Rahul Mahajan case

Delhi Police filed a chargesheet in a city court against six doctors of misleading the investigation into alleged drug abuse by Rahul Mahajan.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi police on Tuesday filed a charge-sheet against Apollo Hospital and its six doctors for "misleading investigation" in the Rahul Mahajan drug abuse case. It has charged six doctors including the Managing Director with tampering with evidence.

The charge-sheet filed before an Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate alleged the doctors and the management of the hospital deliberately gave false information regarding the toxicity of Rahul, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. Police alleged this was done with the intention of misleading the investigating agency.

The charge-sheeted doctors are Anupam Sibal, Mukund Pandey, Abha Gupta, Prasad Rao, Avdesh Bansal and Ali Mohammad Gani.
